Rachel Tibbie-Chef Rachel Tibbie

Chef Rachel is dedicated to providing the health and food needs of individuals that will produce a better quality of life that they would otherwise not have in a traditional restaurant or food service.

Rachel Evangelista!  She has been very thankful to have a family that loves to cook; her waistline may not be as thankful, but that is a different issue entirely. Rachel has been cooking since she was 5, literally. At the young age of 6, Rachel’s mom and her family moved from the Philippines to Japan where she grew up in Yokohama for 16 years - this is how Rachel learned the art of cooking / making authentic Japanese food - from her mom. When Rachel was born, her paternal grandmother moved to Los Angeles from the Philippines to help her parents care for her - this is how she learned the art of cooking / making authentic Filipino food - from her grandma. Both her mom and grandma always involved her and her older brother in the kitchen, so they were given the tools – skill-wise and kitchen-wise – to cook for themselves and make everything their mom and grandma knew.
Eventually Rachel’s older brother went to culinary school, and she went to business school, so, after college, she was working in the financial industry with a concentration in portfolio management and estate administration while cooking on the side for family and friends. She learned everything her brother learned from culinary school by cooking by his side when she wasn’t in the office, until he passed away in 2019. It was at that time that she decided that she’d eventually leave the financial industry and make cooking a full-time gig in honor of her brother, her best friend.
Chef Rachel is dedicated to providing the health and food needs of individuals that will produce a better quality of life that they would otherwise not have in a traditional restaurant or food service. She does this by offering 3 services (Personal Chef, Meal Prep and Small-Scale Catering). Her specialty is creating a custom menu that fits perfectly with her clients’ tastes and event styles all while relaxing in the comfort of their own homes.
